The Perp: Amy Winehouse
The Look: Prints, bustiers and belts, oh my!

While she’s no stranger to the itsy-bitsy dress, Amy Winehouse is better known for her lo-fi ensembles consisting of tank tops, skinnypants and ballet flats. But that look, along with a few missteps, pre-dates her recent effort to get clean. To that end, it’s with a great amount of joy that we are noticing a distinct fashion evolution happening south of the ‘hive. Let’s face it, a conscious effort to look uniquely fashionable can only be a good sign for our Grammy-winning goddess.

In the past few weeks, the soul singer has been seen rocking more plaid than a bagpiper meetup, more leopard print than a hair-band groupie, more checks and gingham than a J. Crew model, more … you get the idea. In addition to her newfound adoration for all things busy prints, she’s also been, well, exhibiting her assets in a whole new, totally ’50s way, thanks to a little something women fondly refer to as the wonder/miracle/life-altering bra. Also rocking our fashion universe are the belt-and-suspenders combos. We dig the gear.
